Formby

Welcome to Formby.
This section of the Sefton Coast is owned and managed by the National Trust. The open foreshore, shifting sand dunes, historic asparagus beds, and mature pinewoods make it a special place for recreation and wildlife.
The Sefton Coast is one of Englands largest sand dune systems and is an internationally important site for wildlife. The National Trust property was aquired in 1967, as part of the Enterprise Neptune Campaign.

Coastal Change

The coastline is constantly changing. Each year, around 4 meters is lost off the front of the dunes.
